Alexander Adelson | Tel Aviv

Alexander came to faith at the age of 20 during his military service and self-search. As a man who grew up most of his life in a secular home, he did not have much knowledge of religion, and so he wanted to learn about it. While acquainted with Judaism, he read the Bible and discovered that it is not just a historical book but a book full of life truths, facts, and prophecies. One promise caught his eye: “31 Behold, the days are coming, says the LORD, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah 32 not according to the covenant that I made with their … My covenant which they broke, though I was a husband to them, says the LORD. 33 But this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel … I will put My law in their minds and write it on their hearts; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people.” (Jer. 31:31-33) Here the prophet speaks of an eternal covenant, God-made. The Lord Himself put it in the heart of man. The desire to live in this covenant with God, made Alexander continue to search, and at one point met Messianic Jews and discovered the New Testament book. There he found Yeshua - Jesus, who came out against the traditional religious hypocrisy and pointed to the need to love God with all the heart as he loves us. Yeshua promises peace and relationships with God through his sacrifice on the cross. Alexander found a personal relationship with God through Yeshua. Today Alexander is a member of a local messianic community, continuing to learn about God and wanting to tell others about the way he did. Since 2011, he has been serving with Jews for Jesus Israel as the missionary and leader of the missionary team in Tel Aviv. He is married to Svetlana, who serves next to him in Israel; they have two kids. During 2019 Alexander completed a BA in Theological studies.
