Sahar was born and raised in Tel Aviv, Israel. He was born into a traditional Jewish family, but he had a very low view of God. Events and hardships began to soften his heart, however, when, in his late teens, he was exposed to the New Testament and to Jesus. Sahar read about who Jesus was and what He did and could not stay indifferent to His wisdom, His compassion and His love. As a Jew, he never knew who Jesus really was and what God had done through His death and resurrection. After few years, in 2014 Sahar joined a local church in Tel Aviv. Soon after, he realized and was bothered by the fact that there are millions of Jewish people who are exactly like he was, not knowing who Jesus really is because no one told them, neither at home nor in school. Therefore, God called Sahar to join a team of dedicated believers at Jews for Jesus who are eager to relentlessly pursue Jewish evangelism and make Jesus known to his Jewish brothers and sisters. In 2016, he began an internship with the ministry, and two years later, joined the staff. In 2018 Sahar married Maria and they welcomed their firstborn daughter, Thea.
I googled “Christianity” and found the New Testament in Hebrew. I expected it to be an anti-Semitic book with stories about Santa Claus! But in the first pages, the Gospel of Matthew, I read the genealogy of Jesus and saw all these Hebrew names. It felt so familiar.
