Aden Friedman was born a Levite to an Orthodox Jewish family in Johannesburg, South Africa. He attended Jewish private schools and studied in a Yeshiva in Israel when he was sixteen. He was head of Judaica at his high school in Cape Town and received the Judaica award for religious service to the school. He worked in the hospitality industry for ten years, where he managed and co-owned restaurants in Johannesburg. He married Cara Friedman in 2014 in Cape Town and currently serves as a missionary with Jews for Jesus in South Africa.
Throughout my life and in Yeshiva, I had been taught that the Messiah who would come and redeem Israel would be from the line of King David. I asked God to give me a sign that would answer my questions and point me in the direction I needed to go in life.
