At a recent Jewish community gathering, I spoke with a secular woman, an Orthodox man, and a Haredi man. When I mentioned working for Jews for Jesus, the Orthodox man accused me of subtle deception, and the conversation quickly became tense. Despite my attempts to respond calmly, he continued pressing me with accusations. The Haredi man intervened to defend me and later apologized for the interaction before inviting me to continue talking elsewhere. We had a thoughtful conversation and exchanged contact details. Afterward, several others approached me to say they were aware of my work and not concerned—one even openly questioned the criticism. Despite the tension, the encounter opened doors for respectful connection and further conversation. Please pray that these relationships will deepen and hearts will be receptive to the good news of Messiah.

Zlata* is a Jewish woman who left Russia because of the war and has only been in Israel for a year. She began attending our ulpan (Hebrew language school) a few months ago and first heard the gospel not long afterward. Although she doesn’t yet believe in God, she absorbs every Scripture lesson. During a recent lesson, she asked me to write down the Hebrew prayer I open every lesson with so that she could pray it herself. Praise God! I’ve never had a student ask for that. The Lord is clearly knocking on the door to her heart. Pray she opens it to him!

Meeting Augusta,* a Jewish woman, was an amazing and unforgettable experience! It was my first time speaking with a 101-year-old. She had a remarkably clear mind, a strong memory, and a warm cheerfulness. She read me poetry in Ukrainian and shared stories from her childhood and youth. When I shared the gospel and invited her to turn to God, she immediately agreed and prayed a prayer of repentance. Thank God for his saving love that reaches every seeking heart at any age!
