From Aaron’s Desk

We set up a large chalkboard and invited people to answer the question, “What gets you out of bed in the morning?”

Have you ever noticed that gospel conversations seem to come more easily when we take time to ask people what they care about? Some people were intentionally funny and gave answers like “my alarm clock” or “my cat,” while others wrote more heartfelt responses like “my children” or, as one young man simply put it, “hope.”

That young man really hit the nail on the head. Deep down, we all desperately need something—someone real and lasting—to put our hope in. And yet life is so full of uncertainties that it can be scary to put much hope in anything or anyone. But in Jesus, you and I have the hope that the whole world longs for—a living, lasting hope that has already conquered death (1 Peter 1:3).

In fact, you and I share the same hope that led the apostle Paul to cheer on other believers with these words:

And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up. (Galatians 6:9)

Who knows what mix of joy and sorrow 2026 will bring? God knows. We are excited about trying new ways of sharing the gospel with our Jewish people and forging new partnerships to that end. But here’s the thing: it’s really not about us. God is at work; he is doing something powerful and unprecedented among Jewish people. And we just want to do everything we can to be part of what he is doing right now! That’s what gets me out of bed in the morning. How about you?

As you look ahead to a new year, I thank God for you and pray that you daily experience the kind of peace, hope, and deep purpose that gets you out of bed in the morning.

P.S. I’m writing these articles in a shorter format so we can share more stories of the people you’re helping reach. I’ll still write longer articles in our quarterly editions. Feel free to email ceo@jewsforjesus.org with your thoughts!

There’s more to see and pray for!
