Serve With Us

Jews for Jesus has all kinds of opportunities that you've probably never imagined— including some that we've only just begun to imagine! Please pray about how God might use you to help make the Messiah known to our Jewish people worldwide.

Short Term Opportunities

Massah Israel

Facebook: themassahproject
Dates: June – August
Area: Israel & India
Cost: $2,800 (including airfares, lodging, food)
Ages: 19-26

The Massah Project is a 10-week summer experience intended to mobilize young adults who are Jewish and believers in Jesus. We believe that being a follower of Jesus means a lifelong pursuit of how to live out the gospel, that as we share, it continually changes us and not simply our hearers. The Massah Project seeks to serve in and build a community, innovate ways to share the gospel, learn together, to the end that we live out our experience of the gospel with Israeli travelers and others that we meet.

Bible college internship credit possible.

Behold Your God Israel Campaign

Dates: spring and fall
Area: Israel
Cost: $500 per week plus airfare
We have set out to share the gospel with Israelis throughout the land of Israel over the next five years. Each spring and fall we are holding a large-scale evangelistic campaign in a different region in Israel. We are looking for Hebrew and/or Russian speaking Jewish believers who are able-bodied and ready to share their faith. Each participant will complete evangelism training in Israel. This training will equip them to go out on the streets and share the gospel with Israelis. We use tracts and engage people one-on-one in dialogue about Yeshua. When Israelis hear from other Jewish people that Yeshua is the Messiah, it has a huge impact on how our witness is received in the land.

New York Summer Outreach

Dates: July
Area: New York
Cost: $500 per week plus airfare
A team of 20-30 Jewish believers who are trained in Jewish evangelism go out on the streets of New York to put that training into practice. They will spend two weeks at Moody Bible Institute* learning the essentials of street evangelism including handing out evangelistic literature, engaging people with the gospel, answering objections to Jesus, and employing messianic apologetics. After training, the team heads to New York City where they form a community committed to sharing their faith with professionals, artists, musicians, students and tourists—the richest and the poorest—of those who crowd the streets of New York City.
* Students can receive college credit for the evangelism training at Moody.

Campaign Steward

Dates: spring, fall and July
Area: New York or Israel
Cost: $500 per week plus airfare
This opportunity is for believers from any background who wish to serve God behind the scenes by enabling. A steward fills the much needed support role for either the Behold Your God Israel campaigns or the Summer Witnessing Campaigns. The role includes doing anything from helping out with stuffing tract bags, shopping for food or supplies, meal preparation, laundry, or running local errands. The goal is to be part of the support team that keeps the daily functions of the campaign running. Like the campaigners, stewards work within a team and have on-the-job training. Being in good physical health is needed, as there are many activities to carry out.

Jewish Evangelism Training at Moody Bible Institute

Dates: June 20-July 2, 2016
Area: Chicago
Cost: $700 for room and board plus transportation to and from Chicago
In-depth classroom learning and practical training in Jewish evangelism. The next course takes place June 20-July 2, 2016. We are now accepting applications! Each June in Chicago, Jews for Jesus offers a unique training in Jewish evangelism techniques on campus at the Moody Bible Institute.

Camp Gilgal

Dates: summer (1-2 weeks)
Area: West, Midwest and East
Cost: varies
Children and Youth
This is a unique opportunity for children of Jewish believers to learn about their Messiah and heritage with other children from a similar background. Most children who attend Camp Gilgal have at least one parent who is a Jewish believer in Jesus, but many have few, if any, other relatives who are believers. We want them to come away knowing what it means to have a relationship with the Lord and to grow personally. Camp counselors and other support staff are always needed.

Halutzim

Dates: last two weeks in July
Area: New York
Cost: $600 plus airfare
Ages: 16-18
This is a two-week mission trip for high school age Jewish believers in New York City. This opportunity is similar to the Summer Witnessing Campaign but is shorter and geared towards younger students. Those participating will receive evangelism training and experience, a taste of Jewish New York, time to fellowship with other Jewish believers, and Biblical discipleship to help them seek God’s direction for their lives.

Sydney Summer Witnessing Campaign 2016

Dates: November 28 to December 14, 2016
Area: Sydney Australia
Cost: $500 per week=$1,000
Sydney is the largest city in Australia and home to 60,000 Jewish people. Most live in one of two major areas, and we will focus on one of those, without forgetting the other, and without forgetting the entire city of 4.5 million people. Since this is the beginning of summer, we will employ several methods of outreach including (but not limited to): handing out Gospel tracts and engaging people on the street corners, bannering, phoning, door knocking, book tables and Psalm Reading, singing on the street corners, etc.

The City is alive in this period and warm, and bustling with Christmas shoppers looking for a deal. We have the best deal there is in the Gospel of Yeshua.

Long Term Opportunities

Full-Time Ministry

Qualifications: Jewish (or married to one) and have a college degree

Jews for Jesus missionaries are the heartbeat of our ministry. They are the people who minister face to face with Jewish seekers. Though we have no specific “job description,” our missionaries do what it takes to make the Messiahship of Jesus an unavoidable issue to our Jewish people worldwide. Our staff are able to serve as general missionaries or specialize in children & youth or young adult ministry.

Internships

Jews for Jesus works on the cutting edge of Jewish evangelism around the world. Work alongside our staff in one of our international branches. See how your giftings, training, interests and ideas can be translated into the work of the gospel going out to the Jewish people worldwide. Expand your ministry experience, while receiving training and discipleship.

Paid and unpaid opportunities available. Internships are available at varying lengths, throughout the year.

Co-Laborer in Messiah

This is a group of trained volunteer missionaries who represent Jews for Jesus in his or her community. This program is designed for any evangelical believer, Jewish or Gentile who has a heart to reach the Jewish people. The work of a Co-Laborer in Messiah is very flexible depending on the desire of the individual. There is an application process and one week of training in the summer for this program.

Full-Time Administrative Staff

Jews for Jesus is an international ministry, and as such we have need for many people to serve behind-the-scenes at our headquarters in San Francisco, and in our local branches. Though not doing front-line evangelism, these staff people make our ministry possible by carrying out many needed functions. There is not always a need for administrative staff, but we welcome those who are interested in serving in this way.
