Staff News: Happy and Sad
It occurred to us that one advantage of Real Time that we haven’t passed on is the ability to keep you in touch with major events in the lives of our staff. While there isn’t space to announce all our concerns, we thought you might want to share our joy and sorrow when there is an engagement, wedding, birth or death within the immediate family of our staff members. And certainly your prayers regarding all these major changes are greatly appreciated. Since the last time we wrote, we have the following to report:
Staff members Matthew Yeary and Shamilla Singh, both from our Purple Pomegranate Production headquarters here in San Francisco
Staff member Shaun Buchhalter (missionary in San Francisco) and Crystal Webster (currently living in Michigan)
Selah Joy Cohen was born to Chicago staff missionaries Micha and Leah Cohen on January 20. Selah Joy is Micha and Leah’s first child!
Last Friday, February 11, two of our staff members each lost a parent. Bob Mendelsohn (our Australia director) said goodbye to his father. Bob had shared the gospel with him numerous times, and had continued to do so for about two weeks before his father’s passing, even during the last six days when his dad was unresponsive. Bob’s brother and sister, who are not believers, commented on the peace that Bob seemed to bring.
Peter Sandberg, personal assistant to Founder Moishe Rosen, said goodbye to his mother later that same day. His mom was a believer and a devout follower of Jesus.
