French Jewish believer in Jesus Phillippe out on the streets of Paris sharing the gospel

Our joint London/Paris campaign just came to a close, and we are so encouraged by the ways God is working in these cities. Our evangelism focused on reaching Jewish people during the High Holy Days of Rosh Hashanah, Yom Kippur, and the 10 days in between known as the Days of Awe, or the Days of Repentance.

During these Days of Awe, a group of campaigners were playing worship music outside a park. A Jewish family came out of the park and noticed their T-shirts. The wife asked if our group was doing anything for Yom Kippur. One of our campaigners replied that, in fact, Jews for Jesus would be holding a service led by our Paris Branch later that week. Campaign leader Karl De Souza gave the family a prophecy edition of the New Testament as a “New Year’s gift”. They gladly received the New Testament and the team wished them “L’shanah tovah!” (Good Year!)

Our campaigners performing Jewish gospel music

Now that the campaign has concluded, our Paris and London branches will be following up with 19 Jewish people who want more information from Jews for Jesus, and with five Gentiles who prayed with our campaigners to become followers of the Jewish Messiah!

Pray for the Jewish people around the world who have just finished the High Holiday season, that they might come to know their Messiah in this New Year!
