Our Paris team will take to the streets for times of public worship and prayer near two of the sites hit by last week’s terror attacks. They will also conduct an evening of worship, inviting Jewish people who have been willing to hear from them.
This decision came after much prayer regarding how best to serve the community and the cause of the gospel in the wake of the violence that darkened the City of Lights.
We know that God’s perfect love can banish the fear that evildoers wish to spread, and that focusing on who God is and how He loves is a truly biblical way to respond to those who want us to be paralyzed with fear. After all, who can be fearful of evil while truly worshiping God and experiencing His love? No wonder God instructed the children of Israel to put the “praise band” out in front of the army when it was time to go out into battle!
Please pray for the Spirit of God to move mightily through our staff during these times of worship and prayer, and pray that passers by will be willing to stop to hear about Jesus and be drawn by His peace that passes all understanding.
We will be sure to include a report back from our Paris team next week.
