Celebrating Victory

Warriors fans or not, victory parades are always good times to celebrate God’s Ultimate Victory in Jesus and that’s just what we did last Friday. Alan Bond, who led the outreach, said:

“One never knows exactly how or even when these NBA championship series will end. But with help from Paige Saunders (illustrator) and Matt Sieger (writer), we had a congratulatory evangelistic postcard ready for the Warriors’ victory parade and rally, held in Oakland on Friday, June 19.

“Five folks from our JFJ headquarters plus one volunteer joined me to distribute all 4,000 cards (written and designed on the hope of a win) into hungry fans hands within an hour and a half. Jews and Gentiles alike were loudly and exuberantly echoing the piece’s first words, "Mazel tov, Warriors."

Matt Sieger (who’s also written gospel literature for the Giants’ victory parades) said, “Everyone was so friendly and happy. There were at least 500,000 people there. It was a lot of fun!”

Please pray that God will bless the gospel seed that was sown at the Warrior’s victory parade, so that many people will find themselves reflecting on the message they received.
