Moishe Rosen update: Thanks to those of you who prayed about the gall bladder surgery. The good news is that it was a successful surgery. The bad news is that severe pain continued after the inflamed gall bladder was removed. As a result Moishe had a CAT scan and the results, while NOT CONCLUSIVE, indicate a PROBABILITY of cancer. We will surely know more by next month’s RealTime and will give another update then. Meanwhile, Moishe and his family are grateful for your prayers. They respectfully request that friends not send him books or cards, as these would be difficult for him to read or acknowledge at this time. Your prayers for him and his family to be a story of faith and a reflection of God’s grace, whatever the situation may prove to be, will be most appreciated. Please also pray for good pain management, and for wisdom in whatever decisions may lie ahead.
We asked you to pray for our Superbowl outreach in Miami and wanted to let you know that our staff and volunteers handed out more than 18,800 tracts, and received the names of 22 people interested in more information. Chad Elliot tried to share the gospel with Hulk Hogan, and Greg Savitt tried to give a tract to Spike Lee. Both refused, though Greg thinks that Spike Lee smiled at him.
Our Tel Aviv branch: Missionary trainee Ze’ev and his family have returned to Israel having completed the first semester of training. They have been there for less than a month and already Ze’ev has written a new broadside tract. To see a PDF of the pamphlet, click here. For an English translation, click here.
Our Los Angeles branch has just begun a six-week series of Bible studies as Tuvya Zaretsky teaches through the first few chapters of John’s gospel. If you are interested and live in the area you can call 310-443-9553 for more information.
Also from our LA branch: Come see us at our booth at the Christian Training Conference in Highland on March 8-9. Again, call 310-443-9553 for more details.
February 19: We will be having a half-day of prayer at our headquarters in San Francisco. Please join us as we pray for the Lord of the Harvest to send laborers to the field.
Many of our branches will be hosting Purim celebrations as a time of fellowship as well as outreach during the first week of March. Please pray that Jewish seekers will attend and be open to the gospel.
From our Toronto branch: On March 1-3 we will be at the Missionfest Missions conference in Toronto; please pray that many will catch a vision for our mission to reach Jewish people with the good news of Jesus.
During the second week in March we will be having a Jews for Jesus Council Meeting at our San Francisco headquarters. Please be praying as we interview applicants as potential missionary trainees, and as we discuss upcoming plans for evangelism.
