Dr. Reuben Gobezie says, “I truly believe that if you invest in the Jewish people and in getting them to understand who their Messiah is, you will reap multiple blessings. I had some understanding of the blessings and curses God has for those who support Israel versus those who don’t, but recently I have taken them very personally.”
Reuben is an orthopedic surgeon who owns both Cleveland Shoulder Institute and Marantha Farms, run by his wife, Courtney. The father of four divides his time between Ohio and Virginia. In 2019, Reuben felt the Lord stirring a curiosity in him about the Jewish people.

Reuben describes his journey: “I had a lot of exposure to Jewish people growing up, and now I find myself with many close Jewish friends. Once I started learning about the Jewish people, I reached out to Jews for Jesus and met with Marc Stein (Jews for Jesus director of philanthropy). I really loved his passion for Jewish evangelism.”
Reuben and Marc quickly became friends as they bonded over their commitment to share the gospel with Jewish people. Reuben now leads a Bible study with his unbelieving Jewish friends and has found the resources from Jews for Jesus especially useful in learning about Jewish perspectives of Messiah.
“I bring my Jewish friends, who often have very little knowledge of the Bible, to their own Scriptures: the Torah and the Tanakh. From their own reading, it becomes obvious that Yeshua is clearly the promised Messiah. Meanwhile, Jews for Jesus addresses the struggles that Jewish seekers face. I find the resources on your website to be exceedingly helpful as I deepen relationships with my non-believing Jewish friends whom I love dearly,” says Reuben.
Last fall, Reuben’s clinic, along with several other businesses and ministries including Jews for Jesus, sponsored the “United Voices Against Antisemitism” roundtable discussion. The event featured prominent Jewish and Christian leaders presenting the roots of antisemitism and strategies to combat it.

Reuben says, “Most Jewish people have no idea that there are millions of Christians who stand with them. The Jewish people need to know that, and maybe they will ask the question: Why? It’s because the King of Kings has made promises for His people, and He doesn’t change that.”
We are so grateful for supporters and friends like Reuben, who not only sow into the ministry financially, but who are also very active in sharing Messiah’s love. May we all see an incredible heavenly return as God uses our investment of time and resources to share the gospel with the Jewish people.
