This month, the 10th World Conference on bioethics, medical ethics and health law will be held in Jerusalem. As research and technology have advanced, more and more scientific and medical scenarios need to be examined and evaluated, not just on the basis of what is possible, but what is ethical. Conferences and forums on bioethics provide a context for that kind of examination, and for people with very different points of view to exchange ideas. Our rapidly advancing technology does not allow much time to really think through the implications of certain practices made possible by new inventions and discoveries. Please pray that God will give participants both the desire and ability to discern what is morally right and wrong.
