An Israeli’s Journey of Faith

An Israeli’s Journey of Faith

Alex Adelson

Last year, Elijah*, a young Israeli man, ordered a New Testament on our website. I delivered it to his home to get a chance to meet him personally and maybe answer a question or two. Elijah was glad to see me and asked if he could visit my congregation. As we still had COVID restrictions on mass gatherings, I invited him to join our Zoom meetings. He came to each Zoom church meeting since, asking us many questions about faith, Yeshua, and the New Testament, which he was obviously reading.

A few months later, Elijah told me that he believes Yeshua (Jesus) is the Messiah! I invited him to pray to accept Yeshua as his Lord and Saviour, and he prayed with me!

Elijah’s next request proved that he was indeed serious about following the Lord. He asked me for discipleship because he wanted to be baptized. It was an honour to connect him to an elder from my church and to witness his recent baptism at the seashore in Tel Aviv. Please pray that Elijah would thrive in his newfound faither and relationship with the Lord!
