Thank You For Praying!
We mentioned last month that our Brooklyn branch (a little under one year old) was planning a week of Sukkot celebrations to help people get to know our staff.
We thought you would enjoy seeing a few photos. Click here to see a variety of “Sukkahs” (booths) that sprang up all over Brooklyn, as well as an etrog vendor. (The etrog is a ceremonial fruit used to celebrate the holiday.)
Click here to see our Jews for Jesus sukkah and how the children at our Brooklyn branch enjoyed constructing their own edible sukkahs.
Another highlight of the Jews for Jesus Fall Holiday services was in Mitino, a remote part of Moscow where our dear Mira Gracheva sees the Lord at work all year round. 84 people attended the Sukkot service in Mitino, 60 of them Jewish. At Mira’s invitation, 12 Jewish people prayed to receive Jesus. Mira says, “Precious Jews were filled with joy and God’s peace; they left in peace and thanked us for the holiday service. People who had lived for almost all their lives in the Soviet atheism got to know God’s life. All glory be to You, the Living God of Israel!”
