One of our outreach workers in Israel reported, “Today we walked along the beach asking people to participate in a survey. The warm caress of the sun’s rays seemed to put people in the mood to answer our questions. Through the questions, we invited them to think about the One who can give us real shalom, because Yeshua said, ‘Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you’ (John 14:27). Two women who answered our questions began to listen carefully when they heard that verse. Maya and Galina consider themselves believers in God, but had never truly heard the gospel. Like many people, they are very fearful about the future. After explaining the gospel, I invited them to receive Yeshua into their lives and trust Him as the true Giver of peace. When we all prayed together, Maya cried. She understood that Jesus is a Jew and was ready to believe in Him as her Messiah. Nevertheless, she was very distressed because she knows her husband is very opposed to the idea. Meanwhile, Galina listened to the words of the prayer so attentively, it seemed like she was trying to remember every word I said!”
Please pray for Maya and Galina’s spiritual growth, as well as for Maya’s husband to believe in Yeshua as the Savior and Messiah of Israel.
