Our intrepid Co-Laborer in Melbourne, Florida, Ron Neumann Mcdevitt, was startled to hear the following voicemail message on his way home from an outreach at a local art festival:

“Hello, Harold _____ here. Drove to downtown Melbourne to give you guys a hand. Parking was impossible and it was raining and all, so I scrubbed the mission. Let me know the next time you have a street festival and I’ll come give you a hand. Have a great weekend.”

Why was Ron so amazed by this message?  Because Harold is 83 years old and has been a believer in Jesus for barely a month!

Ron explains, “The church I attend is very much behind my ministry with Jews for Jesus. They have a permanent electronic sign out front that advertises our Jews for Jesus meeting times, along with a Star of David. The church is on a main road, and when Harold (who is Jewish) saw the sign, he came in and talked to the receptionist, asking her to have me contact him. I visited him right away and he began attending our meetings. On October 15th we met for lunch and he prayed with me to receive the Lord.

“I always announce our upcoming outreaches at our weekly Bible study but had no idea Harold was planning to come. Now that I know, I can do some basic evangelism training with him this week, and he’ll join us for our next outreach this Saturday. The Lord is so good and always full of surprises! Pray for God to bless Harold as he shares what Jesus has done for him.”
