Sorcha and Patrick were passing out broadsides, waiting for team member Isaac to finish up with a conversation. A man stopped by and began saying inappropriate things to Sorcha, trying to provoke conversation. He boasted that he was happy with his life but Sorcha replied that she didn’t believe him as he seemed lonely and discontent, out on the streets late at night hitting on girls. The conversation turned to Jesus and Edwin prayed to receive the Lord into his life.
Giselle was at Highline Park where she met a man named Viking who claimed to be a committed atheist. Giselle said “We’re committed believers, and I want to tell you that God loves you.” He completely softened and began to pour out the details of his life. We hope and pray that he’ll see that God is real and is after his heart. Please pray for him.
Guy met a man named Benjamin who was raised by a Jewish father and a Christian mother. He had heard the gospel before but had never considered it for himself. Guy explained the gospel message and how the Jewish Scriptures are fulfilled in the New Testament with the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus. When Guy asked Benjamin if there was any reason that he should not ask Jesus into his heart right then to save him from his sins, he said no. So Guy asked if he would want to pray to ask Jesus to come into his heart and he was very eager to do so. After they prayed, Benjamin told Guy that he knew that this encounter was from God, and that he was enthusiastic about his new life in Yeshua.
