New Year’s outreach

Elizabeth Black reported from New York City, “For New Year’s Eve, we went out to Bryant Park where we gave out hot chocolate, colorful glow stick bracelets, our holiday literature [see below], and the love of Jesus. We invited people to post a prayer for the new year. New Yorkers and tourists alike stopped to hear about how 2015 could be their year to come to know their redeemer and God. One Jewish New Yorker was so excited to see us that he rushed back to the shop where he works to fry up a fresh batch of a sweet treat for us. He wants to learn more about Jesus and said he’d take us up on our invitation to come for Shabbat. Several of our staff also spoke with Israelis who were interested to hear why we believe Jesus is Israel’s Messiah.”

Please pray for those who heard the gospel in New York on New Year’s Eve to continue to ponder the importance of knowing God in 2015.

P.S. Karol Joseph, who took the photo, said, “Sorry we didn’t get more pictures… we were just setting up. Later we were so busy talking with people, no one wanted to break to take photographs!”
