Jews for Jesus News
Free downloads of our Christmas broadsides are still available here. If you are still sending out your Christmas cards/letters, we have some poems you can feel free to download and include if you’d like: click here. For Jewish for Jesus articles appropriate to the season, click here.
Also: read encouraging news from our London branch, and stay informed on what Jews for Jesus outreach you can be praying for this month.
Our London branch had a creative evangelistic event this month, inviting Helen Shapiro, a Jewish believer in Jesus who’s had a successful music career, to give her story at a restaurant owned by an Israeli. Thirty-five people paid their own way to enjoy a meal together and hear from Ms. Shapiro. Included in those 35 were 10 Jewish unbelievers, nine of whom are willing to hear more from us about Jesus. Please pray for open hearts and success in further ministry to these people.
This month we continue to spend more time on the streets greeting holiday shoppers with our gospel tracts. Free downloads of our Christmas broadsides are still available here. In addition, we’ll ask you to pray for specific outreaches going on in the next four weeks.
New Year’s in New York: a time of outreach as well as fellowship for college-age Jewish believers in Jesus.
Rose Bowl Outreach: Please pray for the New Year’s outreach of the L.A. Branch on January 1-2. Our teams will be all along the six-mile Tournament of Roses Parade route in Pasadena and around the Rose Bowl stadium prior to the Rose Bowl game. We anticipate distributing over 35,000 broadsides. Pray with us for a volunteer corps to join us and and that we’ll receive responses from many unsaved people as a result.
Cape Town Outreach: Our South Africa ministry is based in Johannesburg, but in December/January (which is summer there) we normally have an outreach in Cape Town, where many South Africans go for a holiday. Please do pray for this annual outreach coming up from December 26, 2007 through January 6, 2008. Pray for Michael and Teresa Sischy as they oversee the outreach, for God’s protection physically and spiritually, for divine appointments with people who will be open to the gospel, and for all the participants to be blessed as well as being a blessing.
