Camp Gilgal Praise report
We’re just about to complete our 24th season of Camp Gilgal for Jewish children and youth ages 8-18. As with all our children and youth ministry, Camp Gilgal aims to raise up new generations of Jewish believers in Messiah.
Nearly 200 attended our camps this summer in California, Michigan, New York and Pennsylvania—and Camp Gilgal Germany finishes on Saturday (August 16). Here in the US, three campers from unbelieving families surrendered their hearts to the Lord and two others from believing homes did the same. Over 40 of our campers recommitted their lives to Him. One of our teen campers who surrendered her heart to the Lord has already shared her new faith in Jesus with the rest of her family!
We are praising God for moving in the hearts and lives of our campers and staff this summer. We are especially encouraged about the restart of our Camp Gilgal Midwest summer camp under the leadership of David and Arielle Randle. A highlight from our West Coast adventure camp was when a young man who has grown up attending Camp Gilgal and recommitted his life to the Lord last summer decided to be baptized prior to heading off to college this fall.
Most of our camp staff have grown up attending Camp Gilgal. Many go on to serve with Halutzim (our teen discipleship/missions trip to New York), Massah (our young adult discipleship/missions trip to Israel and India), and some have even gone on to serve on our missionary staff. Whatever way God leads them, we are grateful to have the opportunity to minister to them along the way.
Please pray for our campers as they return to school and resume their normal schedules, that they will continue to grow in their faith and shine the light of Messiah to their family, friends and classmates. Thank you for your prayers, support and encouragement as we continue in our efforts to raise up new generations of Jewish believers in Messiah.
