A Bit from the Florida Branch
It was the day of a big outreach at the Coconut Grove Art Festival in Miami, an event that hundreds of thousands of people attend from all over the USA. It sure seemed Satan didn’t want me to bring my team of volunteers to the event. First, we were very delayed waiting for one of the volunteers to arrive. Then, as soon as I got on the highway, one of the tires on our Jews for Jesus van blew out. I got the tire changed, only to discover that the spare was no good! After purchasing a new tire we finally made it to the art festival…where volunteer Bruce L. prayed with a Gentile man to receive the Lord. Thirteen volunteers helped us hand out 12,300 tracts. Two Jewish people gave their names and addresses for more information. No wonder Satan didn’t want us there!
Note: One volunteer from Rock of Israel helped out for an entire week in the office as well as doing a double (four hour) sortie (tract-passing expedition) with Chad and Greg at the art show. Margie was a great blessing to our branch. She handed out 1,350 tracts, and she is 65 years old!
