Be sure to wish your Jewish friends a Happy Purim, which begins at sundown on March 15!  Purim celebrates the story recorded in the book of Esther. It’s traditional to read the “whole megillah” (scroll) of Esther, eat three-cornered pastries known as hamantaschen, or “Haman’s hats,” and have the children dress up as various characters from the story for plays or parades. It’s a joyous time of celebrating God’s watchcare over His people, Israel.
