One of the primary ways we missionaries build our caseloads” is through your help—yes, you, the reader of this Newsletter! Although there are relatively few of us missionaries, there are many of you who know Jewish people. We might never have the privilege of communicating with then, about Jesus unless you tell us who they are.
Some of you have given us the names and addresses of your Jewish friends so we could send them a Letter of Witness and a sample of our publication ISSUES: A Messianic Jewish Perspective. When we have missionary staff in the area where your Jewish friends live, we forward their names to our branches or traveling evangelistic teams for more personal follow-up.
In addition, many of you who live in the vicinity of one of our major Jews for Jesus branches are putting us in touch with dozens of interested unbelievers. You help by bringing them to our Bible studies, holiday services or other special events. You call us to arrange three-way interviews between our staff and you and your interested Jewish friends.
Sometimes these contacts are open to hearing the good news of the gospel, and sometimes they are not so open. They are likely to be more open to hearing from us if you have helped by preparing the soil for planting the gospel seed—that is, if you have taken the time to cultivate your own relationship with them. If they know that you respect and care for them as individuals, they will be more inclined to hear from us on your recommendation.
We are grateful that the Lord has placed us in a position to be able to devote ourselves to telling Jewish people the good news of Yeshua; but we could not be nearly so effective without your efforts. Thank you, and let’s keep up the teamwork!
