One of our co-Laborers in Texas, Sally, is attempting to help her pastor under-stand the need for Jewish evangelism. Pastor David had expressed discomfort with the idea because he felt it was targeting one group over another.” Sally has been discussing this with him very gently over the last few months. She recently wrote him a loving letter pointing out through Scripture how Jesus came “to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.” She also reminded him that their church has many “target” ministries: prison ministry, homeless ministries, unwed mothers, just to name a few. Sally ended her letter with the Jews for Jesus mission statement. Pastor David has been willing to listen thus far. Let’s remember Sally and her pastor in prayer. And if anyone else wants to follow Sally’s example in raising the issue of Jewish evangelism in their church, we would be very grateful!
