Just as individuals need to determine first things, our congregations need to establish priorities. The aspects of congregational life should flow from a Christ-centered commitment to being a local reflection of the universal body of Messiah.

Are you able to see what the first things are for your home congregation? It is worth taking the pulse of your own church. Inevitably, a congregation centered on Jesus will be a congregation given to outreach and evangelism. After all, the great commission is at the heart of our Lord’s instruction to His followers. And while you’re checking that pulse, please remember the words of the Apostle Paul in Romans 1:16. We in Jews for Jesus pray that Jewish evangelism will be one of those first things” for you and your home congregation in this new year.
