Steve Cohen is a Jewish believer in Jesus who directs The Apple of His Eye, a Jewish evangelism arm of the Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod. Cohen’s booklet on witnessing to Jews is unique in its format of a daily devotional. Each of the thirty-one entries includes a Scripture verse relating to personal evangelism with a space for personal application. Also provided is a daily precept” briefly expositing the Scripture passage, a related “pointer” on witnessing, and space to fill in the name of a person with whom you’d like to share the Lord. The principles given are not just helpful when witnessing to Jews but when sharing Jesus with anyone. What’s the best thing about Win-Some Witnessing? Maybe that it encourages Christians to move beyond their one-on-one relationship with the Lord to consider how to impact someone else’s life. With its catchy title, this might even make a good gift for a college-bound Christian student who’s unlikely to find such a “course” offered alongside Psych 101.
