The Super Bowl is being played on Groundhog Day (February 2) this year at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey. What’s the connection? Well, with all the pre-game festivities, the Super Bowl is as big an event in the five burrows of New York City as it is in New Jersey. And you may want to hibernate for six more weeks if your team loses in the Super Bowl. By the way, it snowed on three of the past five Groundhog Days in the East Rutherford area.

Anyway, we hope you enjoy this broadside.
