Jewish mother Hannah Zaretsky shows us how she makes her sweet crowd favorite challah bread.

Sweet Challah recipe:
Start with 2 cup measuring cup and cover the bottom in even layer of yeast
Then add 1 ½ cups of very warm (NOT HOT) WATER
Add 1 tbsp to yeast mixture
Let rise
Start with 3 cups of flour into your mixing bowl
Add one egg, ¾ cup of sugar and 1 tbsp of salt into flour
Mix for a while then add ½ cup of butter, or olive oil to flour mixture

Once yeast mixture has a foam layer on top mix it into the flour mixture
Once the wet mix is incorporated into your dry mix, slowly add more flour until it no longer sticks to the sides of the bowl
Mix/knead dough for 10mins with minimal flour being added
After 10mins roll the challah into a bowl and let rise for one hour
After risen, separate challah into 3 sections (or more, if you’re feeling adventurous)
Roll even portions of challah into long pieces and braid loaf
Place challah on a cookie sheet and coat with egg wash (and sugar or another topping if you prefer)
Cook for an hour at 350 and just like that you have challah!
